Door Sensor

The Elevator Door Sensor is an electronic safety device used to detect the presence of passengers or obstructions in the elevator doorway during door closing operations. It continuously monitors the door zone and sends signals to the elevator controller to prevent door closure when an object or person is detected. Door sensors enhance passenger safety, reduce mechanical wear on doors, and ensure smooth, obstruction-free operation. They are commonly based on infrared (IR) light curtain or photoelectric sensing technology and are compatible with automatic elevator door systems.
